Labor of Love, Episode 1.
Burnett County Tourism Coalition
WHAT WE DO FOR BCTC:
North of Eight Design & Marketing serves as the Burnett County Tourism Coalition's marketing consultant. This means we do just about whatever is necessary to help this non-profit put it's mission into the world, including (but definitely not limited too): Web Design, Social Media Management, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing Consulting, Content Creation, Public Relations and Event Planning.
WHY WE LOVE THIS PROJECT:
Because it drives our local economy. So many of our businesses depend on visitor spending - through our work with BCTC, we're able to support so many small businesses by trying to get more folks through their doors...and that's just really cool.
A LITTLE BACKGROUND:
I think this project is the best one to start out the series, for a number of reasons. In my infinite quest to take on too many things, helped start this 501c6 nonprofit back in 2013. As a board member, I worked with Nancy Herman of Yellow River Advertising and Design and Chris Moeller, now of Siren Area Economic Development, to develop a brand, including a positioning statement and logo. We also took a dive into strategic planning.
Fast forward to late 2017, and our hired marketing consultant had quit unexpectedly. In order to maintain momentum, I stepped in to execute our marketing plan.
Since then, I've been contracting with the Burnett County Tourism Coalition to help them further their mission of growing tourism in Burnett County.
